Happy Rohatsu!

Rohatsu means December the 8th in Japanese — if Wikipedia is correct. It is also called Bodhi Day and is said to represent the day when Guatma awakened to the final understanding and became known as The Buddha.

I can think of no better way to celebrate my own birthday today than with a long silent sit beside my window with a the bird of paradise shining in the sunlight in from of my “I”.

I am deeply grateful, for This.
